Data for Grant Submission

CHI personnel can assist with authoring relevant sections of funding proposals, including study design, analysis plans, Resources pages, and data sharing plans. For proposals requiring significant data science effort, CHI and BMI personnel can be utilized as FTE equivalents or as purchased services, depending on the nature and extent of the collaboration. CHI has helped many investigators win grant awards and fulfill advanced data science needs. Most service fees are waived in this case. In the last 5 years, BMI investigators have secured over $100M in NIH and PCORI grant awards as PIs, co-PIs, and significant co-investigators.

"Professor Harnett and the University of Cincinnati (UC) Department of Biomedical Informatics (BMI) was a huge help in our most recent grant submission to the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute. Brett was a highly engaged collaborator, helped us devise a robust and sustainable plan for data collection and database maintenance, and provided detailed descriptions for the plans often at short notices to comply with the grant submission deadlines. Our submission would not have been possible without the assistance of BMI. I endorse and highly encourage investigators to discuss their proposals with Brett and the UC BMI prior to submission to get ideas about data collection and database maintenance." - Nishant Gupta, MD
