Cohort Identification Consult
The CHI mines the complex Epic data model to extract patient data from its data warehouse, uses text mining software to find text relevant to a study across over 27 million clinical notes, and works with the UC Health Epic team to build recruitment alerts that are sent to research coordinators when patients become eligible. Additionally, patient recruitment can be conducted directly using Epic’s MyChart patient portal. A consultation can identify the tools and strategies that are best suited for your specific clinical research studies.
